Milkweed Pods are harvested in rich fields and meadows. The leaves of the milkweed plant are the primary food of the Monarch butterfly. They make an excellent fresh summer vegetable. Our Milkweed Pods are gathered when they are small and tender. Preserved in a light marinade of cider vinegar and spices like a pickle, they make a distinctive tasty appetizer as well as a unique visual garnish.
